About Mental health
Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological and social well-being. It is about how we think, feel and act as we cope with our lives. It also refers to how we handle stress, make choices and relate to others. Like physical health, mental health is important at every stage of life.
There are different types of mental health problems. Some of the more common mental health issues are stress-related though the origin is from family, to parenting to job related matters. Some of the complex issues are mostly anxiety related disorders and mild, moderate to server depression. A mental health issue causes major disruptions in a person's perception, cognitive abilities, emotional state, and behaviour, which at times disrupts the person's capacity to work at an optimum level coupled with minor to major conflicts in dealing with personal or professional relationships. Seek counselling support with a trained professional when you notice the early signs and symptoms of stress that never seems to go away!
