Single Parenting

arent household can be quite stressful for the adult and children as it is likely that the adult faces greater time and financial pressures compared to being in a two-parent household. Single parents have to deal with many pressures and challenges such as visitation and custody problems, disruptions of extended family relationships, reduction of family finances and resources, loss and grief issues related to either the death of a parent or divorce of the parents. There is also the added challenge of working out a living and parenting arrangements especially if the other parent is equally involved or uninvolved in parenting which leads to on-going conflicts between the parents, which can further emotionally impact the children no matter how young or old they are!
